The intimacy of the moment of the recording of the piece is reproduced at the moment of interaction by the audience. The arrangement of the tubes obliges the public to approach each other, and to agree on which tubes are reproduced and which ones are silenced, so that the experience is finally in the hands of the spectator, who becomes, almost unconsciously, the composer of the piece .

 

The triple portrait allows you to approach three ways of seeing the same thing, from three different points of view that correspond to each discipline.

This project reflects on the representation of subjectivity.

 

It is a triple installation approached through three different media (graphic, literary and acoustic) to the concept of portrait.

 

"IT'S NOT THE TIME, 

    IT'S THE TUNE"

 

The sound piece is a synthesis of the double bass, the instrument of the musician represented on the cardboard. It consists of several parts: four transparent PVC tubes with four hemispheres at the upper end, supported by a wooden box that in turn exerts sustenance for the tubes and works as an aesthetic element. Inside the box, each tube is connected to an mp3 player through a double membrane system, in such a way that it distorts the sound of the contrabass, both by the morphology of the piece and by the inversion of the notes (the string more serious reproduces in the narrower tube and vice versa), just as a portrait distorts the real experience, it shows a subjective look.
